Despite the recent rains, preparations for the 9th Edition of Koroga Festival continue for this Sunday’s much-anticipated performances by Atemi, Kidum and headlining act – Alikiba.
Set in the lush surroundings of Arboretum Gardens, organizers are taking special precautions to ensure weather will not be a factor or interfere with festivalgoers having a super time.
The Tanzanian hitmaker, Alikiba, will be bringing his Bongo flava to Nairobi! The seasoned songwriter, dancer, producer, actor and model wrote his first song “Maria” after high school and has continued releasing singles thereafter. Some of them include: “Najuwa”, “Ndugu wangu”, “Kuteseka”, “Namshukuru Mungu”, “Sabrina”, “Yatima” and many more.
The beautiful and sultry Kenyan Neo-soul songstress Atemi will be kicking-off the 9th Edition of Koroga Festival with Kidum, one of Burundi’s biggest music stars. DJ Andre and Protégé will also be on the decks.
The Koroga Festival is a bi-monthly event and is a great reflection of Kenya’s brilliant and diverse local talent, whilst also showcasing leading artists from all over Africa through music, fashion, food and arts. Previous editions have seen musicians like Mi Casa, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Sauti Sol, Mayonde, Papa Wemba, Freshlyground, Oliver Mtukudzi, and Simphiwe Dana, just to name a few; light up Nairobi’s most popular music festival.
Advance tickets are KSh 1,500 on Ticket SASA and KSh 2,000 at the gate. Children below 12 years of age are free. Food and drinks are strictly prohibited.
