After unseating President Uhuru Kenyatta at a Jubilee merger rally last month, some people thought that top Gospel singer Kevin Bahati would be persona non grata at State House.

The Barua hit-maker proved them all wrong when he met the Head of State at the Youth Summit on October 3rd, going even as far as sharing an Instagram Moment with the Head of State.

The gospel singer immediately took to social media and announced that the president has promised him full support on his journey to greatness.

“I promise to give you 100% support in your journey to greatness, count on me Bahati,” uttered the President.

The singer went ahead and quoted President Kenyatta’s words in an emotional message: “Almost shed tears when President Uhuru Kenyatta said all this to me a few minutes ago at State house Nairobi. Who’s like my God?”

The singer, who addressed the youth congregated at the summit, requested the Government and the Ministry to provide jobs for the youth, especially those who dwell in slums areas.

“I call upon the Government of Kenya together with the Ministry to help youth who dwell in slums like Mathare and Kibera because they are unemployment,” he wrote.
