Award-winning gospel singer Kevin Bahati is living proof that indeed God’s time is the best. The Machozi hit maker, who lost his mother at a tender age and was living in the city’s second largest slum Mathare, has every right to praise and thank God for all he has done for him.

The multi-talented singer, who was brought up in humble beginnings was exposed to the hard life in slums but this did not make him join gangs, use drugs or steal from people. This life hardened him until one day when he was rescued by a caucasian woman who took him to the ABC Kenya children’s home, where he finally got the chance to attend school. It’s also at the children’s home where Bahati accepted Jesus Christ as the saviour of his life.

Recently, Bahati was visited by the woman he considers as his second mother and the two dined together.

“Tonight Was One of the Most Humbling Evenings in my Life. I got a Visit from a Woman that Took Me from Mathare at a Tender age. She Offered to take me Back to School and Housed me at #ABCKENYA Children’s Home. I am whom I am Because You & Your husband Accepted to be Used Of the Lord. I know you’re Happy I can invite you for Dinner at a Place I call Home. i Respect you #THOURUN for being a Mum when I Needed that Mother’s Love Most, MUNGU AKULIPE🙏”
