In May 2016, a poster started making rounds on social media. It bore information that American RnB superstar, Chris Brown, was coming to Kenya. This was quickly brushed off with claims that Chris Brown was too expensive for Kenyan showbiz. The poster also alleged that Kenyans would part with KSh20,000 for a VIP ticket and KSh10,000 for a regular ticket when the concert came to be.
However, according to Tuko, Mombasa Governor, Hassan Joho, will be bringing the American superstar to Mombasa for a concert.Brown will be joined by Nigeria’s star, Wizkid.
According to Tuko, Joho plans to revolutionize the party scene in Mombasa in a bid to attract investors and open up the county for more business opportunities.
Among the emcees who will headline the show will be KTN’s Jamal Gadaffi who is very close to the Mombasa Governor. There is even a rumour that the young TV host is being groomed to join politics.
