The Kenyan gospel industry is mourning the death of legendary singer Jeremiah Mulu.

Mulu who had been ailing for a long time, died of cardiac arrest at his home on June 5.

The veteran singer who sang mostly in Kamba native language, is known for his hit song Vula Mbeu Nthuku’ which won him the Eastern song of the year at Groove Awards in 2012.

He was a talented, hardworking and God fearing artiste according to his fans.

Citizen TV’s Syombua Osiany broke the sad news on social media and here is what she wrote;

“Curtains fall on Ukambani legendary gospel artist, Jeremiah Mulu. Mulu is known for his famous hit ‘VULA MBEU NTHUKU’ that saw him win the coveted Groove Awards- Eastern Song of the year in 2012. He has been ailing for quite sometime now and finally succumbed to a heart attack last night. I called him ‘Papa’ I can speak so much about this man but pleasant in the eyes of the Lord is the death of His saints. Fare Thee Well Papa, the resurrection morning in fast-approaching. Thumua na uvoo.”

I can’t control my tears for your good deeds.rest in eternal peace we shall meet again.
