Dennis Okari is without a doubt among the best investigative journalists around. Being one of the famous clique of presenters who have made the TV industry what it is today, he has continued to shine even as the days pass by despite the recent “scandal” that left him depressed and humiliated. Okari broke up with his baby mama Betty Kyallo barely six months after their glamorous wedding.
But since then, Okari has been keeping a low profile and has not even come out to say anything about his marriage, but we hope all is well. Apart from all that, the multi-talented journalist has been a loving and caring father to his daughter, Ivanna. While going through Dennis Okari’s social media accounts, I came across this heart-warming letter he penned down for his daughter when she celebrated her 1st birthday. The soft-spoken man promised how he will do anything just to ensure the little angel is well taken care of.
Okari wrote this to his daughter yesterday
“MY DAUGHTER, AS YOU TURN 1 YEAR OLD TODAY
It was worth leaving my job and come home watch you grow. I recall leaving the hospital with your Mum, carrying you in my arms. That walk to the car was one of my proudest moment. Better than any presidential parade walk or any red carpet moment.
I am happy that I will break my back just for you to have the very best in life. I am not perfect but I’ll try so hard my little angel.
I’ve had these lines for many years and couldn’t wait to finally get here to write them as you turn 1 year old.
It’s only for a moment you are mine to hold
The plans that heaven has for you
Will all too soon unfold
So many different prayers I’ve prayed
For all that you might do
But most of all I’ll want to know
You’re walking in the truth
And If I never told you
I want you to know
As I watch you grow
I pray that God would fill your heart with dreams
And that faith gives you the courage
To dare to do great things
I’m here for you whatever this life brings
So let my love give you roots
And help you find your wings
May passion be the wind
That leads you through your days
And may conviction keep you strong
Guide you on your way
May there be many moments
That make your life so sweet
Oh, but more than memories
It’s not living if you don’t reach for the sky
I’ll have tears as you take off
But I’ll cheer as you fly
Daddy loves you Ivanna. Soo much.”
