The veteran gospel singer Jimmy Gait is the latest victim of a backlash from unforgiving Kenyans on Twitter, famously abbreviated as KOT, after he released a cover of singer Adele’s hit single Hello.

The single which has over 778 million views on You Tube in less than two months since it was first released has attracted many, with Kenyan singers doing remixes of the song.

It all started with songstress Dela whose Hello cover greatly excited many. She was lauded for hitting the nail on the head with the remix; something that might have prompted other artists like Jimmy Gait to follow suit by trying their luck.

However, as things stand, Jimmy Gait’s attempt is not only a major gaffe but also an epic fail that has brought him more agony than the fame he wanted by riding on an already hit single in the world.

KOT have reacted angrily to Gait’s remix, some even taking their time to apologise to Adele, the owner of the song, on behalf of all Kenyans and Gait himself.

Very few think the song is a good version and Jimmy Gait shouldn’t be crucified for the cover.
