Kenyans have once again proven that they are the most generous in Africa if the amount already collected for her son Prince Abura is anything to go by. Before afro-fusion mucisian Achieng’ Abura passed on, she had set up an online fund on M-Changa to raise money for her ailing son.
Following the untimely death of former Tusker Project Fame Principal, Achieng Abura, Kenyans have once again contributed generously towards a common course, that of helping Prince get treatment.
Prince has sickle-cell anaemia and a heart condition, a problem that his mother was hoping would be treated in London.
Abura started an online fund on M-Changa seeking to raise Ksh 4million. However, a day after Abura passed on, only KSh 691,995 had been donated.
In an interesting twist, one week down the line, the kitty has ballooned with over KSh3 million donated.
Prince had received a scholarship for his studies but failed to start due to the illness.
Abura died on Thursday, October 20 at Kenyatta National Hospital while receiving treatment for depression and gastritis.
