Popular Kenyan radio presenter Maina Kageni has a message to Kenyans during the festive season. Kageni blasted those people who crave for publicity when helping the needy.

One of Kenya’s biggest names in radio has taken a swipe at politicians, corporates and other Kenyans, who crave for publicity when helping the less fortunate in society.

Maina Kageni has blasted Kenyans who crave for publicity during the festive season.

Maina Kageni in a post on his social media page, urged corporates, politicians and other Kenyans not to drag TV cameras and photographers along with the purpose of broadcasting their charitable deeds.

Maina said people broadcasting their good deeds only did it for PR.

“Dear corporates, politicians and fellow Kenyans…. as you visit children’s homes, orphanages, prisons, community centers, etc this festive season, please don’t drag TV cameras and photographers along with the purpose of broadcasting your charitable deeds….. that’s not charity, that’s PR,” he said.

Kageni blasted those people who crave for publicity when helping the needy.

 Maina said their was no need to remind the needy how helpless they are on national television and newspapers.
“No need to remind them on national TV or in the papers how helpless they are…. just give and go!!!!!!!! Tenda wema?,” he said.
