One of Kenya’s baddest rappers, Jackson Makini, alias Prezzo, has spoken out for the first time about his friendship with Floyd Mayweather, who will go down as one of the greatest boxers in history, with an unbeaten 50-0 record against Conor McGregor.

“Mayweather is a good friend of mine. And he invited me to to watch the fight. Of course I supported him 100 per cent, and I was sure he was going to win,” Prezzo told Mpasho.

“We met through his P.A, Grace, who is a Kenyan but was raised in LA. From there, we’ve been good friends.”

Asked about his past relationship with Yola and if the pregnancy she is having is his, Prezzo shut down the rumour.

“That is not my baby. I’m a responsible man and my pullout game is so strong. But congratulations to her. Life goes on,” he said.

Prezzo also denied threatening to kill Yola, as she alleged.

“It’s all a lie. Anybody who knows me knows I stick to my lane. Her star is fading off, what else is she gonna talk about if it’s not Prezzo? As a matter of fact, she has been blowing my phone. I have been in this game for 13 years now and I have come to understand it, and I know when somebody is trying to get publicity from me. I stay relevant through God’s grace.”

The My City My Town hitmaker might be vying for a political post in future, but will only go for the presidential seat, he said.

“I see politics in my future, but to be honest, if I ever get into politics, I’m not gonna be no MCA or an MP, I’m going for the top position, the presidential one. I’ll take over the whole country.”

Prezzo cleared the air on the issue of exiting the reality show he was in, saying, “The only way I will go back to reality TV is if I do the Prezzo kind of thing. My own thing, you won’t see me in shows where women are pulling off each other’s wigs half the time. It gets so exhausting and I try and get away from negative energy, it is contagious.

“My management was against the whole thing all that time, and for me, I was blinded by love. I looked out for somebody who later on turned out to be ungrateful. And no, I don’t regret it, life is a learning curve.”
