Kenyan Artists go through a lot to penetrate in the music industry. It is not simple as you see their ready videos on social media. So is the case of babza, Musician from mumias based in Mombasa. He shares his journey as an artist from when He started his career. And Hope fully someone can come out to their help and give the help they he so much needs from relevant quarters.
I started my career in Mumias in 2009. My first recording was in 2012 but it i didn’t get breakthrough. I moved to Mombasa and resident Bamburi. While there i started visiting some of the lable recording studios like Green huose, Zicky recods and others but mostly in Green house hanging with producers like Chapatizo. Noizer n K short. In 2014 i came back home. I started a small business.
I started my business of marketing and selling bicycle spare parts for survival.  While i was selling the spare parts i interacted with many people. But i still had the desire to produce my music. I met one Producer TK2 of one record production. We had discussion on music production and agreed he will help me produce my music. So, later i left and went home to raise funds for my new music and that’s how i did #kidoti which has done so well.

After one year i decided to request my brother kiddis to help me build my music brand. After he listened to my song kidoti, he  was impressed and discovered my talent. He advised me to push up my music career since it was so promising. He promised to work with me to uplift me musically and that’s when i wrote my song “Tuwapige bao”, says #Babza4real.
