Popular Kalenjin secular Singer Dianah Chelele has been found murdered in her rural home in Kapkwen, Bomet County.
The musician, known for her classic kipsigis hit songs, was found lifeless at her home with villagers terming the death a shock to the entire community.
Bomet police boss Alex Sande confirmed the incident saying deep cuts had been found on her body and was treating the case as murder.
This comes barely four months after the singer was admitted to Nakuru General Hospital for attempted suicide.
The unfortunate turn of events-her death, follows reported marriage woes that have been trailing the musician.
Following her death, many residents in Kapkwen believe that her demise raises more questions than answers for a lady whose fast-rhythm music plays across local bars.
In October 2015 after the suicide attempt incident her sister had explained that Chelele had regretted her actions.
“The suicide attempt was disturbing, not only to us as a family, but also the entire music fraternity. We are however relieved that she is now well and has been discharged from hospital and is back with her family,” she said.
Chelele leaves behind a pair of twins.
