She is arguably one of the most loved media personalities in the country and it comes as no surprise that Citizen TV news anchor Janet Mbugua Ndichu, will be championing for hygiene to help children reach the age of 5. She was appointed the brand ambassador for Lifebuoy Help a Child Reach 5 at an event last week.
The event was attended by first lady Margaret Kenyatta, Unilever CEO Paul Polman and the young girl Sherry who plays the main role in the touching Lifebuoy advert amongst other guests.
“Very humbled to be appointed as Lifebuoy Help A Child Reach 5 Ambassador, I will be championing for people across Kenya to always wash their hands with soap and water before touching babies to help reduce infant mortality rate of children under the age of 5. Join the conversation across all my social media platforms using the hashtag #HelpAChildReach5,” Janet posted online.
And in honor of the campaign, she pledged to wash her hands with soap and water every time before she touches her baby. The new mother posted with regards to her baby Huru Ndichu.
