I love it!

This is the stuff of legends; competition. And I love seeing Kenyan artists engage in competition. This often means that the standards of music will be elevated as everyone tries to outdo the other and live performances become that much more exciting.

What we are witnessing ladies and gents is Sauti Sol throwing their gauntlet into the ring and challenging Kenyan artistes to rise to the occasion. And all this with the backdrop of Kenyan artiste King Kaka hitting out at them for not doing what he feels is enough for the entertainment scene in Kenya.

That rather simple and succinct message to Kenyan artistes is rather heavily cloaked in nuance. What do you think? Are they throwing shade or is my imagination overreacting?
