Imagine a Fally Ipupa , Sauti Sol collabo??? Damn! You know what, it is happening!Trailblazing Kenyan music group Sauti Sol has joined top Congolese entertainer Fally Ipupa to produce new music on the Coke Studio Africa Season Four TV show.
The pairing is undoubtedly the show’s most avant-garde, set to unite music fans in Africa.
“We are proud to work with Fally Ipupa,” the all-boy award-winning Afro pop group said.
“This is a statement to our Live and Die in Afrika motto and theme – the best of entertainment and music can also be made right here in Africa.
“This will be the best music collaboration on the show this year – wait and see!”
The collaboration will be produced by one of Nigeria’s music producers Masterkraft.
Masterkraft is also responsible for producing Ghana’s Efya and Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo on the show’s new season.
DRC Francophone award winning star Fally Ipupa is scheduled for a performance in Nairobi this weekend. Really curious to see how Kenyans will react after finding out about this. The celebrated artist will on Saturday night entertain his fans at the exclusive KIZA lounge and restaurant located on the 8th and 9th floor of Galana plaza, Galana road, off Yaya center.
Fally is representing DRC, one of the six new countries added onto the show set to premiere later this year.
Others include Ethiopia, Togo, Ghana, Cameroon and Ivory Coast.
Sauti Sol and Fally will also be working with Nigerian singer Simi.
All the artistes will be directed by the renowned South African record producer, pianist, composer and Coke Studio Africa’s new music director Mpho Pholo aka 37mph.
Performing alongside Fally, will be South Africa’s fast rising hip-hop ace Miss Patty Monroe who is also in the country. Tickets are retailing at 2000 bob.
