A mother’s love can’t be compared to anything in this world, even Sauti Sol’s Savara Mudigi knows this too well.
Taking to Facebook on Monday morning, the singer who doubles up as a producer revealed how his mother reacted when she saw him in crutches for the first time.
For those not in the know, Mudigi sustained a leg injury during a team building exercise on Wednesday, January 17 at Purdy Bar.
He was later admitted at Nairobi Women’s Hospital where he treated. Since then Mudigi has been recovering at home and he recently revealed how his parents have been taking it all.
Mudigi revealed that it really pained his mum too see him in crutches so much so that she cried wondering if he will ever walk again.
“But that was nothing compared to the pain in my mom’s eyes when she saw me in crutches. She just stood there with tears trickling down her eyes wondering whether I’ll ever walk again,” his post reads in part.
He went on to say that his old man just told him to focus on recovering so that he can get back to doing what he loves.
Here’s the post:
I rarely show my parents on social media because I respect their privacy but today I just had to. I remember when I moved out on my own, it broke my mom’s heart. They used to call me almost every day to check if I was okay and how I was coping with life. But that was nothing compared to the pain in my mom’s eyes when she saw me in crutches. She just stood there with tears trickling down her eyes wondering whether I’ll ever walk again. My dad is a strong dude though, he keeps telling me to focus on the what matters most (which is the healing process) as this is a true test of my will and that soon i will get back to doing what I do best, making music and rocking the stage. “You are a Mudigi and Mudigi’s always overcome all odds”. He says. Thank you mom and dad for your love, prayers and most importantly reminding me of the unbreakable bond and of family throughout this period. My road to recovery continues…
