Kenyans are yet to come to terms with the untimely passing of Grace Makosewe who was found dead on Wednesday, October 25 at her apartment in Golf Course Phase II in Nairobi.
Her death left many wondering what could have brought the life of the jolly 40-year-old to an abrupt end. Questions posed went unanswered.
Well, it is now emerging that Makosewe might have been suffering from depression for months leading to her death.
Reports indicate that she had not gone to work for more than two months and had refused to eat anything. She also stayed up on most nights.
Makosewe rarely left the house and she would call when she needed something like food to be brought to her room.
But that’s not all. According to family sources, the former Capital FM presenter was not in good terms with her mother. She had also gotten a job as a radio host in Tanzania but had not reported for work.
On the day she gave up the ghost, sources say she was feeling uncomfortable and decided to sleep naked on the cold floor.
The police and a close relative who had accompanied them to her home to assist with investigations found her naked and lying on the floor on her stomach.
Reports further indicate that there were some alcohol bottles and a shisha bong around the deceased’s body.
Although it is still not clear what ended her life, a post-mortem done last Thursday showed there was a clot in her lungs.
May she find peace in the Lord’s warm embrace.
