Bobby Brown isn’t back-stepping when it comes to the moonwalk.

The 48-year-old singer on Thursday doubled down on his claim that he taught Michael Jackson how to do the iconic dance of the 1980s, when asked by TMZ if he was responsible for originating the King of Pop’s trademark move.

Asked if he taught the late Thriller singer how to do the dance, Brown replied, ‘Of course,’ but made clear that he would be unable to teach anyone else the famed flash of footwork.

‘I cannot, because I forgot,’ the Every Little Step singer told the site as he made his way from Hollywood’s Dream Hotel, where he subsequently demurred when asked about recent reports he withdrew from being a contestant on the upcoming season of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars.

‘Don’t ask me questions,’ said the My Prerogative artist, who initially made the moonwalk revelation in an August 28 chat with The Cipher’s Shawn Setaro.

Brown said that he ‘was the first one’ to do the dance move in his Boston neighborhood of Orchard Park ‘to do the moonwalk.

‘The moonwalk was one of my signature moves,’ he said. ‘Nobody. I had brought it up from down South. It was something that just killed the game once I brought it up the East Coast.’
