A couple was among the 8 casulties who perished in the grisly Kisii accident on the morning of Saturday, July 2.
The lovers were Schoolmates from Kenyatta university and had taken the road-trip together- their last, apparently.
A 21-year-old Vinnah Morangi and her 20-year-old sister Valeria Wangare were among the eight people who died in the Kisii road accident.
Morangi’s boyfriend – Duncan Nyanaro – also died in the crash.
Morangi and Nyanaro had been to a romantic photoshoot days before the fateful trip. Their heart-rending photos have been shared and reshared online.
They had left Nairobi to attend a friend’s graduation party at Magena, about 30 kilometres from Kisii town. The only recollection from the girl who survived the crash is that they changed a driver in Kisii town right before the fatal crash.

The trip was cut short when a lorry collided with two cars including theirs. From the collision, only three people survived and were rushed to Kisii Level Five hospital with serious injuries.
Morangi was a third year Bachelor of Education student at Kenyatta University.Her boyfriend recently graduated from Kenyatta University.
Her younger sister who also perished in te accident was yet to join the same university to study journalism.
The two sisters who perished in the accident were the only remaining kids of a Kisii single mother.
Their mother blames herself for their death citing that she told them not to go to Meru for their cousin’s funeral fearing that it would have taken a toll on them.
